Meet one of our newest Writing Fellows, Brooke!
"Hello, my name is Brooke Daum, and this is my first semester as a writing fellow. I enjoy writing, especially about the topics I am most interested in, such as psychology. I plan on receiving my Associate of Science degree in 2021, and then I will be off to study psychology at a university. I am very excited to be a part of the writing fellows, and I have been looking forward to the experience. In my free time, I enjoy archery, listening to podcasts, and spending time with my friends and family."

Good Morning! Did any of you enjoy the snowfall yesterday? My husky sure did!!
I suppose it is my turn to do my biography so you can learn a little more about the person who is doing all of these posts! My name is Leah Robinson, I am an almost 23-year-old (On December 1st😉) who lives in South Rockwood with my husband of 1.5 years and my Siberian Husky! I have been a Writing Fellow for a few semesters now and I have loved it so far. I have always enjoyed writing in school, so it was awesome when I learned about the Writing Center! I go to a church in Carleton and serve on the tech crew and in our youth group. My hobbies include anything outdoors, and I have recently learned how to hand-knit blankets which have been pretty fun! Before attending MCCC, I actually graduated from a broadcasting trade school and worked in radio for a short time before going back to school. I will graduate in the spring with my Associates and plan on enrolling in the NASM program to become a personal trainer and nutrition coach!
Hey Huskies! The semester is almost over! Can you believe it? We would like to introduce you to one of our Senior Writing Fellows, Megan!
“Hello, my name is Megan. This is my last year of school at MCCC. I will soon be moving on to a four-year university to major in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry. In my free time I like coming up with creative projects, but most of the time I am working on school. I have been doing theatre for the past few years as well. I have not been a writing fellow for very long, but I enjoy it very much and will be sad to let it go.”

Happy Monday Huskies! We hope you enjoyed the beautiful weather over the weekend!
We would like you to meet one of our Junior Writing Fellows, Presley! 😁
"Hi everyone! My name is Presley Bergmooser and this is my first semester as a writing fellow. I am eighteen years old and just graduated from Saint Mary Catholic Central. I am super creative and have a passion for art, exercise, and the Lord. My favorite subject in school was always English because I enjoyed reading and writing. That has transpired throughout the years and here I am today. I am eager to learn how to best help others strengthen their own writing and see their potential."
Happy Wednesday! Meet Madison!
"My name is Madison Laurain, and I am a junior writing fellow this semester. I am in my fifth year at MCMC and am also finishing up my associate of science degree at MCCC. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my horses or reading a good book!"
Comment down below if you share any hobbies with Madison!
Good Morning Huskies🐺 Today's bio is from Dawn Witmer! She has been a Writing Fellow for many years at MCCC!
"I am a senior student, and by that I mean in years. I am 66 years young and refuse to leave MCCC. I love the teachers, the studies, and of course the writing fellows. Although I have a bachelors in English (Literature), I am now heading for an Associates in Business.
To give you an idea of my timeline, my one grandchild was in first-grade and is now a student at MCCC. My other grandchild was in kindergarten and will be joining us next year. It was sometimes challenging, juggling school and raising them, but it has also been a blessing.
I am quite active in my church with Bible studies, services, choir, and handbells.
I'm an avid reader and must have close to a thousand books (so many books and too little time)."

Good afternoon Huskies! We have another bio from one of our Writing Fellows! Meet Sidney!
"Hello! My name is Sidney Collino, and this is my third semester as a Writing Fellow. After MCCC, I plan on going to Michigan State University to major in Environmental Biology/Zoology. Beyond school, I am a dancer. I have been dancing at MCCC for ten years as part of the Destination Dance School and Inside Out Dance Ensemble. You will often find me performing in shows and events around campus. When I have free time, though, I am usually reading a book or out in the barn with my miniature horse Abby!"

Good Morning! It is the middle of the semester! Do not forget that we are still doing appointments virtually, so make your appointment today!
We have a mini-biography from our Writing Fellow, Noah Black! He is in charge of our promotions committee!
"Hey, all. My name is Noah Black. I have been a Writing Fellow at MCCC for a little over three years now. I am currently finishing my bachelor’s degree in Professional Communications from Siena Heights University, but still find time to take a few classes here at MCCC. I am also the editor for the student newspaper on campus, the Agora. While I do not have much free time outside of school and work, I do enjoy the classic hobbies of reading and playing video games. As someone who was born in the late 90s,
I didn’t have a lot of time to experience the decade to its fullest, so don’t get mad at me when I’m blasting third wave ska music. If I have an extensive amount of free time, I do produce miniature
documentaries on my YouTube channel, “TheArcWielder,” covering the production history and legacy of television shows from the 1950s-1980s."
