Today is Flag Day! We honor the Stars and Stripes and the ideals it represents - freedom, unity and opportunity.
On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress adopted the official flag of the United States. Nearly 250 years later, Old Glory remains a powerful symbol of our nation's history and the generations who have
helped shape it.
As America prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary in 2026, we invite you to join us in commemorating this historic milestone. Visit our America 250 webpage to learn about upcoming events, programs and opportunities to celebrate our nation's past, present and future: unioncountync.gov/America250
🇺🇸 Happy Flag Day!
