Celebrating a Remarkable Career at Monroe Environmental 🎉
Today we honor Jeff Buford, who is retiring after nearly 42 years of craftsmanship, leadership, and unwavering dedication in our fabrication shop.
Jeff joined us straight out of the welding program at Monroe County Community College — back when the shop had just seven people and the company was aiming for $1M in annual sales. Decades later, his reliable presence and exceptional skill have helped shape Monroe Environmental into the company it is today.
As Jeff steps into retirement, he’s looking forward to fixing up his home, spending more time in Alabama with family, and enjoying life with his new yellow lab puppy.
Thank you, Jeff, for more than four decades of commitment and heart. Enjoy every moment — you’ve truly earned it! 💛🐾

Andy Steirer recently celebrated an incredible milestone — 25 years with Monroe Environmental! Andy has been a key member of our sales team from the beginning — he is currently the Sales Product Manager for Mist & Dust Collection equipment — and is a true asset to the company. He appreciates being part of a family-owned business with a small-town feel and enjoys working with the diverse product lines Monroe offers.
“Being here has given me the opportunity to travel the world — from China and Korea to Germany, Mexico, Canada, and more,” Andy shared. “I love visiting plants, seeing our equipment in action, and helping customers solve their challenges. I’ve worked with customers in industries like automotive, fiberglass, asphalt, steel, chemical, and municipal.”
We’re grateful for Andy’s dedication, expertise, and the many contributions he’s made over the past 25 years, and look forward to many more!
