The countdown is over and we are SO excited to see our dancers shine on stage at recital! 💜✨

⏰ Volunteer Call Time: 2:00 PM
⏰ Dancer Call Time: 2:30 PM
📍 Benton Heights Elementary School of the Arts
1200 Concord Ave, Monroe, NC 28110
✨ ALL dancers and backstage volunteers should report to the backstage check-in area at call time.
Dancers should:
✔️ Arrive wearing their FIRST costume
✔️ Be fully performance ready with hair & makeup done
✔️ Check in at the backstage table and report to their dressing room
🎭 Dancers will remain backstage with their assigned backstage volunteers throughout the entire performance.
🌟 At the end of the show, ALL dancers will return to the stage for bows and awards presentations!
🚨 IMPORTANT PICK-UP INFORMATION:
Dancer pick-up will take place at the backstage check-in table after the show. Please make sure the approved adult picking up your dancer has their wristband for release.
We cannot wait to celebrate all of the hard work, growth, and dedication our dancers have poured into this season. Let’s make this recital unforgettable! 💫

🎭 DRESS REHEARSAL REMINDER 🎭

⏰ Volunteer Call Time: 9:00 AM
⏰ Dancer Call Time: 9:30 AM

✨ ALL dancers and backstage volunteers are required to attend.

Dancers should arrive:
✔️ Fully dressed in their FIRST costume
✔️ Hair & makeup performance ready
✔️ Checked in at the backstage table by call time

🚨 IMPORTANT REMINDERS

• Only ONE adult per dancer may attend dress rehearsal.
• Adults attending will receive a wristband required for BOTH entry and dancer pick-up after rehearsal and recital.
• Dress rehearsal is a “Stop & Go” rehearsal and may run longer than show length. Please be patient as dancers practice spacing, stage confidence, and transitions. 💜

🧺 PLEASE BRING:
✔️ Labeled laundry basket for costumes & shoes
✔️ Change of clothes for dismissal/lunch break
✔️ ALL recital shoes & costumes

✨ Dancers will leave with their FIRST costume after rehearsal and return dressed and ready for showtime later that day. Additional costumes and shoes will remain backstage.

🎭 NON-DRESS REHEARSAL REMINDER 🎭

⏰ Volunteers: 3:30 PM
⏰ Dancers: 4:00–7:00 PM

📍 At Be Famous Dance Center

✨ ALL dancers and backstage volunteers are required to attend this rehearsal.

Dancers should:
✔️ Wear their BFDC uniform
✔️ Bring ALL dance shoes
✔️ Label laundry baskets with first & last name

During rehearsal, we will run the full show to help dancers and volunteers prepare for backstage transitions and finale staging. 💜

🚨 IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
• Due to limited space, ONLY dancers and backstage volunteers will be permitted in the building.
• All dancers must stay for the ENTIRE rehearsal.
• No early releases will be allowed.
• Every dancer will participate in the finale rehearsal at the end of practice.

The excitement is building backstage as costumes are organized, shoes are packed, hair supplies are ready, and routines are coming together beautifully. ✨

Parents — this is your friendly mid-week reminder to:
✔️ Double check costumes & accessories
✔️ Label shoes, baskets & belongings
✔️ Practice recital hair & makeup
✔️ Pack water bottles & towels
✔️ Get plenty of rest before the big weekend

✨🎭 RECITAL COSTUME & STAGE READY REMINDERS 🎭✨

Recital week is HERE and we are getting so excited to see our dancers shine on stage! 💜 Please take a moment to carefully review ALL costume, tights, hair, and organization details to help recital week run smoothly for everyone.

👗 COSTUME PICK-UP
Costumes will be released upon arrival once accounts are paid in full with a $0 balance through June tuition. Costumes include all assigned tights and accessories.

✨ IMPORTANT:
• Try costumes on ASAP once they go home.
• Hang costumes OUTSIDE the garment bag to help release wrinkles.
• Tutus should be hung upside down to fluff.
• Fringe costumes may arrive temporarily tied to prevent tangling — simply pull the string end to remove before pictures.

👠 SHOES
All dancers must have the correct assigned shoes purchased through the studio dance shop no later than May 15th.

🚨 Dancers without correct shoes WILL NOT be allowed to participate in:
• Picture Week
• Dress Rehearsal
• Recital

🩰 TIGHTS & UNDERGARMENTS
Each costume includes a new pair of assigned tights. A n**e leotard is provided for dancers with costume changes unless they already received one during Christmas recital season.

HOW TO LAYER YOUR DANCER:
1️⃣ NO underwear
2️⃣ Tan stirrup tights (Acro/Contemporary) OR tan footed tights (all other dancers)
3️⃣ N**e leotard
4️⃣ First recital costume & assigned costume tights

✨ This helps dancers change quickly backstage while maintaining modesty.

💄 STAGE APPEARANCE GUIDELINES
To create a polished and professional stage appearance:

✔️ Hair must be SECURE and performance ready
✔️ All dancers with buns must wear hairnets
✔️ False eyelashes are required for ALL female dancers
✔️ No jewelry
✔️ No gum
✔️ No glitter
✔️ No holes in tights or shoes

🚨 Dancers whose hair is not secure or who are missing required items may need to fix them before entering the stage.

🎒 ORGANIZATION TIPS
Please send dancers to Non-Dress Rehearsal, Dress Rehearsal, and Recital with:

✔️ A labeled laundry basket
✔️ A towel to sit on backstage
✔️ A labeled water bottle
✔️ ALL costumes, shoes, and accessories
