Cypress Point Elementary

We wrapped up an exciting second week of 21st CLCC Summer Camp Enrichment filled with learning, creativity, and fun! Students enjoyed a field trip to the bowling alley, a special visit from the animals of Glory Land Farms, and refreshing snow cones. They explored their artistic talents during a Paint and Pour session with Ms. Taylor Gaines and Raine and learned about the heart through a hands-on presentation from the Children’s Museum, where they created their own stethoscopes. Students also participated in engaging STEM, math, and ELA enrichment activities throughout the week. It was another wonderful week of learning, discovery, and summer fun! ☀️📚🎨❤️🎳🐐🍧

21st CLCC Summer Camp Enrichment📚Cypress Point Elementary wrapped up the first week of summer camp with learning, discovery, and fun! Students participated in STEM enrichment, hands-on math and ELA activities, and engaging learning experiences to keep learning exciting throughout the summer.

Students also explored the world of dentistry through a special learning experience with the Northeast Louisiana Children’s Museum, where they learned about healthy teeth, cavities, and proper dental care. They even had the opportunity to dress up as dentists and experience the fun of a career in dentistry through hands-on activities.

Coach Roark and Ms. Bonner kept the students active with dance and gymnastics while learning the different techniques. They also enjoyed canvas painting.

We ended the week with an educational trip to the Louisiana Purchase Gardens & Zoo, where students learned about a variety of animals and reptiles, including snakes, spiders, and other animals , while asking questions and exploring the wonders of wildlife.

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.

On Thursday our Pre-K had their end of the year program. We are so proud of all our pre-k students and they are O-Fish-Ally moving up to Kindergarten!
