🛠️ Planning a home project? Now is the time to learn more about the City of Monroe Building Division's Free Permit Weeks! From May 18-31 and August 3-16, 2025, property owners/contractors can apply to have building/zoning permit fees waived.

🚨 IMPORTANT: All fees are collected up front and will be refunded as long as the following criteria is met:

- Projects valued at $20,000 or less
- Included projects: roofing, siding, windows, fences, decks and more
- Final approval needed within 90 days
- Contractor/property owner submits a request for a refund

🚫 Note: Application fees are non-refundable. Homeowners can get up to 5 permits, contractors up to 3.

Attention Monroe and Lenawee County Michigan residents:

The Monroe/Lenawee County AFL-CIO Central Labor Council is holding a Community Home Makeover program this summer. One resident will be selected by the Central Labor Council Committee to be the recipient of the makeover.

Below is information on that potential makeover and the link to the application online. Applications must be received by June 1st, 2025, to be considered.
