TODAY IS THE LAST DAY … to register online for our community-wide 2026 KINGDOM QUEST VBS with Heart for Monroe! 🏰👑 🎉

We can’t wait for THE ultimate multiverse journey to discover what it means to follow Jesus and find LIFE in God’s Kingdom. Kids of all ages will be immersed into a fantastical kingdom setting with unbelievable adventures and epic quests through enchanted lands. Please mark your calendar for June 22nd-25th from 5:30pm-8:30pm on the Shiloh Baptist campus located at 2301 N. Rocky River Rd. in Monroe!

Students will receive dinner, snacks, and participate in all kinds of amazing activities. There will be games, music, arts & crafts, high-energy worship, mission projects, engaging lessons, and much more! All kids and family members are invited to a free Family Fun Night on Thursday evening.

Day 16 - 21 Days of Prayer for VBS

Scripture:
“For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness” (Romans 12:4-8 ESV).

Prayer:
What a beautiful thing You are doing in forming this church body, Lord! I thank You that I get to be a part of it. I thank You that I am only one part of it and you have not called me to carry VBS on my own. I pray that You would bring volunteers, and that one on the team would find their perfect fit and be willing and able to serve with joy!

I am thankful for the opportunity God has given us to serve Him through VBS this year! I pray that the LORD does more than we can ask, think, or imagine. While God graciously allows us to be a part of VBS, all the glory for it is His! For like Paul says in 2 Corinthians 10:17.

But he who boasts is to boast in the Lord.(NASB95)

How can we boast in the LORD today? I look forward to boasting in the LORD together next week as we serve in VBS!

Day 15 - 21 Days of Prayer for VBS

Scripture:
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace” (1 Peter 4:10 ESV).

Prayer:
Lord, I thank You that you have given each one of us a gift and that is irrevocable! I pray that You would stir hearts amongst those in my church community to serve in the areas that we need most for this year’s VBS. Give me wisdom and discernment to search out those who are not currently using their gifts and ask for their help.

How amazing it is to know that God has gifted us each as believers to serve one another! Paul states it this way in 1 Corinthians 12:7

But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. (NASB95)

It takes all of us serving together in order for VBS to happen! From helping serve snacks to teaching classes, there is something for everyone to do and all of it is important! I am so excited for the opportunity to utilize the gifts God has given us to share the love of Jesus with our community this VBS! Maybe you know someone who is not signed up to serve yet and all it would take is a personal invitation. Would you prayerfully consider reaching out to that person today? ♥️

Sunday morning during KIDS Church, we worshipped together, studied Matthew 25, and then we prayed a special birthday prayer over Piper.

We are so excited about the growth in our Shiloh KIDS and student leaders! They are continuing to learn to lead prayer, share the Gospel, and pray for the lost! We are extremely thankful for what God is doing!

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26

Day 14 - 21 Days of Prayer for VBS

Scripture:
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20 ESV).

Prayer:
God, I thank You that You are not a father with a limited budget, but that You are the all-powerful God with unlimited resources. I ask God that You would do more than I could ever ask or imagine for this year’s VBS—spiritually, physically, numerically, and financially. You are our Provider, and we trust You to provide.

Praise the LORD for His great provision each and every day! I am thankful for God's Word in Matthew 7:7-11 where Jesus says this:

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 “Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? 10 “Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? 11 “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!

If we know how to give good gifts to our own children, how much more will our heavenly Father give what is good to those who ask Him!

Day 13 - 21 Days of Prayer for VBS

Scripture:
“Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest’” (Matthew 9:37-38 ESV).

Prayer:
Jesus, I thank you that You taught us to pray for the laborers to send out into the harvest. Today, I ask that more children than expected would come to our VBS, and that You would also send enough workers. I pray for Your very best in our volunteers and leaders so that our children can receive excellent care and ministry while at VBS.

I pray that we are wonderfully overwhelmed both by the number of children that come to VBS and the number of volunteers who come to serve! I am so thankful to serve alongside you all at Shiloh!

How amazing it is that God invites us to be a part of something that can make a difference for eternity in the lives of others!

Day 12 - 21 Days of Prayer for VBS

Scripture:
“At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison” (Colossians 4:3 ESV).

Prayer:
Lord, I ask today that You would open doors to local schools, community centers, and conversations in our community. I pray that the good news of Jesus would not live within the four walls of our church, but that it would go out! I ask that VBS wouldn’t just be a summertime event, but that it would have a lasting impact throughout the year.

Praise the LORD for the open doors for the Word He has opened! May the LORD empower us through His Holy Spirit to walk through them! May we continue to pray for more open doors of opportunity, but may we also walk through the ones God has already provided! What are the open doors God has given you to share His Word today?

Day 11 - 21 Days of Prayer for VBS

Scripture:
“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance” (2 Peter 3:9 ESV).

Prayer:
Lord, I pray today for any families and children in our city and community that have yet to know You because of a hard heart. I pray that through Your kindness, their hearts would be softened and receptive to the message of the Gospel that will be shared at VBS this year. I thank You that we will see salvation and spiritual growth this year!

I am so thankful to the LORD for His loving patience, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. I don't know about you all, but I have some family and friends who do not know Christ and I am thankful to the LORD for His patience, praying that those I know who are lost would come to saving faith in Christ. During VBS we have the opportunity to share the hope of Christ not only to precious children who do not know Jesus, but to entire families. Let us pray that the LORD would go before us and begin stirring in the hearts of the lost who are coming to VBS this year that God would draw them to Himself in repentance! Who is a lost person this week you are praying for?

Day 10 - 21 Days of Prayer for VBS

Scripture:
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8 ESV).

Prayer:
Thank You for Your Holy Spirit, Lord. I pray that You would fill me and my team with boldness and creative ideas to invite our neighbors, classmates, community, and kids to be a part of what You are doing at VBS this year. I lay down any hesitation or fear, and I ask that you would bring us into perfect alignment with what You desire.

There is no way we can do this life on our own, let alone VBS. The good news is we don't have to! The LORD has given us His Holy Spirit, the Helper, who lives inside of us to be able to do all that God has called us to do. I can't help but to think of one of my favorite verses in the Bible Romans 8:11 which says this,

"But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. (NASB95)

May we be empowered by the Holy Spirit today and each day as we prepare for VBS!
