Wow! Again, it has been a while, hasn't it?

I fell into the abyss of working overtime hours and inventing new solutions to overcome the impact of the upgrade of the underlaying platform.

I know - TMI!

I'll try to be more on the regular from here on. Remember, I invite participation!

I haven't posted much lately because I ran smack into the issue that is the topic of this page.

We brought a project into Production deployment and found that the Production environment is different than were the pre-production environments and we needed to scramble.

One other developer and I did pair programming, trying different resolutions. I ended up putting in 68 hours for the week and he put in several more.

We each got a public thank you from the Delivery Manager for the extra effort we had put in...

I think that it's pretty clear that we agree that we techies aren't appreciated by the corporate world even though they could never survive without us.

What are our alternatives?
