MCUMC leadership team thanks the volunteers who helped us have a successful distribution on Saturday. In addition to our regular group, we had assistance from Crowfield Baptist, Seacoast at Cane Bay, and Pointe North churches. Thanks to Kathy, Larry, Zerlinna, Aimee, AJ, and Adrian for helping us fill in the gaps for our vacationing Methodists. Also thanks to Presley, Mattie and the young man and his mom from Freedom Church who helped on Friday. It’s always nice to see our young people volunteering for our community. We couldn’t have done it without you. A big shoutout to Nurturing Wonders and Grace Community Baptist Church for the donations to our shelves this week. They were greatly appreciated!

Feed Berkeley had one of its largest volunteer weekends this past Saturday thanks to our new leadership team including Seacoast Church Cane Bay and Crowfield Baptist Church in Goose Creek. These volunteers helped in every area from packing boxes,to breaking down cardboard, to greeting clients, and loading vehicles. They did all this with big smiles and servants hearts. Great day at Feed Berkeley distribution yesterday. Large number of volunteers worked diligently. Thanks especially to Seacoast church of Cane Bay who brought quite a few volunteers to “train” in operations to prepare for their leadership week on May 30. They are definitely up to the challenge, and I can’t wait to watch them in action. Great job, all!

Wonderful day at today’s Feed Berkeley distribution led by MCUMC. We had 35 volunteers, mostly young people, from various school and local entities including Berkeley High Beta Club, National Honor Society, and Cathedral Academy students. It was a busy but productive day providing assistance for those in our community experiencing food insecurity. We left an empty chair for friend Rick Burnette who we know was with us in spirit as we served with Grace. We will miss him in 3rd Saturdays.
