You are looking at approximately 1 trillion stars. This photo I captured in astrophotography mode with my Google Pixel 9 pro xl phone is of the Andromeda Galaxy; one of the local group with the Milky Way so we are neighbors , only 2.537 million light years away. It is also called M31.

I got my new microscope today. It has LED lights with adjustable brightness, a phone holder to take pictures through it, ten prepared and labeled slides, a bunch of blank ones , and an instruction booklet. The magnification is from 100x -2000x. This one is rated very highly on Amazon. I hope to be able to post photos of cool stuff besides photos through our telescope with a new phone holder for the telescope I also bought recently.

This is the new aimer for our telescope. I put it on today and calibrated it to the telescope. It projects a Target and now what we see inside the smallest circle is what we see when we look in the scope.

This is a macro capture of a Verbena by my porch with my Sony a6400 mirrorless camera with the Sony 50mm f1.8 lens at f/16, 1/90th of a second and ISO 2000. I used a 16mm extension tube so I could get this close. It was a really windy day but I handheld the camera instead of putting it on a tripod.
It's been 50 years since I bought my first SLR at Sears in 1974 when I was 16. I got the photographer aspiration years earlier, though ,when I met an elderly man who used a 8x10 view camera with a front swing camera who took advertising photos for magazines.
