Last Friday evening, the Moline Second Alarmers had the privilege of taking in a night of Quad City Storm Professional Hockey, thanks to our friends at Servpro of Davenport/Bettendorf!! Two of our members even got to participate in the official puck drop! Super cool!! We were also stoked to be the recipient of the chuck a puck proceeds! Thanks to our members that worked that table! Can’t leave out that one of our members was even able to cruise in style on the Zamboni!! While not everyone in attendance is in the group picture, a great time was had by all!! HUGE thanks to everyone that made this possible!!!

Last night, the Moline Second Alarmers and AIR12 were toned out to a residential structure fire in Moline for breathing air and rehab. Several air bottles (SCBAs) were refilled and water and Gatorade were given out. Our volunteers did a great job as always!

Yesterday morning, the Moline Second Alarmers and AIR12 were paged for air supply and rehab at a major commercial structure fire in Moline. Due to the large amount of air consumption, and the long duration of this incident, being roughly eight (8) hours, our backup air trailer was also needed. We train on this periodically, and it was put to good use. This is the first time in several years this was needed at a fire, but we’re super grateful to have it! Several of our volunteer members provided support on the scene throughout the incident at different times, due to the long duration. Everyone did a great job and made sure everyone on scene was taken care of!

Yesterday afternoon and evening, the Moline Second Alarmers and AIR12 were paged to provide rehab and air supply at a residential structure fire in Moline. Due to the extreme cold, we were presented with the challenge of frozen air bottle latches and connections. Thanks to our heat gun and propane heater, we were able to overcome this and thaw out the frozen bottles and maintain full air for all firefighters. We’re prepared to serve, hot or cold, under any conditions!

Last night, the Moline Second Alarmers and AIR12 were paged to a residential structure fire in Moline for air supply and rehab. We provided additional scene lighting from our light tower, refilled several air bottles, and Gatorade was a favorite! Great job to our dedicated volunteers who are always available day or night!

Like our area fire departments, the Moline Second Alarmers and AIR12 have been busy lately. On Tuesday, we were dispatched out to assist with air supply and rehab at a residential structure fire in Coal Valley. Thursday we were paged to assist with air supply and rehab at a residential structure fire in Moline. While still on scene, there was an additional structure fire we were called to, however we’re released on arrival. This afternoon, we were paged for air supply and rehab at a residential structure fire in East Moline. Thanks to our volunteers for their teamwork and dedication at each of these incidents!

Early Sunday morning, the Moline Second Alarmers and AIR12 were paged to provide air supply and rehab services at a residential structure fire in Rock Island. Several air bottles were refilled and Gatorade was provided. This was an opportunity for our newer members to get practice on refilling air bottles, and they did great! Well done everyone!
