Ponder VBS is in the books, but the fun doesn’t have to stop. This Sunday we will meet with Miss Jenn to practice our VBS songs at 9:40 am and perform them during our church service at 10 am during our children’s message time. Then our kids can go downstairs and play with the sensory toys and games in the VBS theme room or stay with their parents during the remainder of the worship service. We will have cookies in the gathering space afterwards and a slide show of VBS pictures running from each day for you to enjoy. Everyone is welcome to come and find out what we were up to this week.

One day left to go for Ponder a love like God’s VBS, Thursday, June 18, 9 am to 12 pm. It’s been such a joy watching our kids, volunteers, and staff interacting together, while learning how to love God and ourselves like Jesus modeled and taught. Tomorrow we learn to love one another and review the greatest commandment, Matthew 22:36-40.

Reminder: Ponder - A Love Like God’s VBS starts next Tuesday, June 16 through Thursday, June 18 from 9 am to noon. We are still taking registrations. Please pray for our children and volunteers who will be participating, and share this link if you know someone who may be interested.

Thanks to our sensational six who came out to w**d, trim, and plant on Sunday Afternoon. Steve Schippers, Jeff Nelson, Susi & Wes Llewellyn, Carol Holtz Martin, and Jack Reimer. We now have flowers to adorn our plaza. There is still an opportunity to w**d a few more flower beds. ENJOY!

Prayers for our neighbors of Muscatine, IA as they deal with the aftermath of the deadly shootings claiming the lives of seven individuals as a result of an apparent domestic dispute.

God of our grief and disbelief of tragedies that result in the lives lost due to gun violence. Let us remember that you call us to demonstrate your love that can disarm empires and individuals if we are willing to proclaim the amazing love Christ exemplifies. Guide us in your grace as we weep for those who have died. Grant them eternal rest in your ever welcoming arms. Amen
