Did you know.... Larry Stone, our former QCS WIN SIG Leader, plays ragtime piano at various locations around the Q-Cites?
Want to join a few of us for coffee and some of his music at the Dead Poets Coffee Shop next Monday, Feb 17th? Larry plays from 9:30-11:15 A.M. Address is 1525 3rd Ave A, Moline. (https://deadpoetsespresso.com/)
I mentioned that I wanted to come listen and he responded, "Please do come to Dead Poets. The piano is old and rickety like the pianist but the coffee is good. 🎹☕ "
Hope to have a few of you join us! Vicki Wassenhove

Microsoft Abandons Windows 10’s Constant Forced Updates Microsoft has a major announcement today: Windows 10 will no longer automatically install those big feature updates every six months. Home users can pause smaller updates, too. In fact, Windows will even let you pause updates after checking for them!

Wonderful, informative session with Abby Stokes last night.
Jim and Chris Guld AKA "Geeks On Tour" will be making a personal appearance at the Q-C Computer Society today, Wednesday November 1st at 7:00 PM at the Butterworth Education Center, Moline IL. (Open to the public)
Jim and Chris traveled Europe this summer on a month long vacation, using their Smart Phones exclusively to take photos, find train schedules and so much more. They are going to share their tips and experiences with all this wonderful technology. Some things they will discuss are their camera settings, using Google Photos, connecting to the internet and more!
This will probably be the last time we see Jim and Chris at the QCS so I hope many of you will be able to attend. They always delight and amaze us with their gadgets and their knowledge.
Come see Jim and Chris Guld Nov 1st at 7PM. Learn how to travel with your smart phone, capture photos and preserve those memories with Google Photos.
