Happy Teacher Appreciation week to teachers, volunteers, and community members across the QC who make a difference in the lives of immigrant and refugee learners.
Today we highlight our Family Literacy Program. Led by WRQC staff member Leah Hodge, this unique English language class removes common barriers for adult learners- such as transportation and childcare- to ensure that families have access to English language instruction. At the heart of the Family Literacy Program are 19 volunteer teachers and 5 contracted preschool instructors, childcare providers, and drivers who make this program possible.
Thank you for making the Quad Cities a great place to live and to learn!πŸ’™

Recently through the IDA Program, our clients were able to receive a vehicle. We are extremely proud and grateful as these transportations will allow clients to take a big step towards being more independent!
What an amazing accomplishment! Congratulations to all πŸ’™πŸŽ‰
