Downtown Parking Survey Now Open
The City of Moline is currently conducting a comprehensive parking study focused on downtown Moline and we want your feedback.
Walker Consultants has been hired to assess the needs and opportunities related to:

🔹 Off-street parking
🔹 Parking operations and policies
🔹 Long-term parking management strategies
Whether you live, work, own a business or visit downtown, your input will help us better understand the current parking experience and plan for future improvements.

The final Handy at Home workshop of the year was a great success! Attendees learned how to identify unwanted household pests, including both rodents and insects, along with practical ways to prevent and remove them from their homes. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this year’s workshop series so engaging and informative!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Tree Education Session hosted in partnership with the City of Moline Parks & Recreation!
The event was a great success, with community members learning valuable tree maintenance and pruning techniques to help keep our neighborhoods healthy, beautiful, and growing strong. We appreciate everyone who attended, asked questions, and shared in the conversation about caring for our community’s trees.

April’s Handy at Home workshop, Wet Basement Solutions: Top to Bottom, was a great success! Attendees learned practical ways to redirect water away from their homes and how to recognize when it’s time to call in a professional. We appreciated all the great questions and engagement from participants—it made for a valuable and interactive session.

We extend a heartfelt thank you and farewell to our former board members, Bill Abel and Sue Normoyle, for their many years of dedicated service to Moline Community Development Corporation.
Their leadership, thoughtful insights, and creative ideas have helped shape our work and strengthen our community in meaningful ways. We are truly grateful for the time, passion, and commitment they shared with our organization.
While we will miss their presence on the board, we know their impact will continue to be felt for years to come. Thank you, Bill and Sue, for everything you’ve done for Moline CDC and our community!

Have you ever been curious about the 1916 Moline Orpheum Theater and the unique historical details it holds? If so, we have great news for you!
You are warmly invited to a special Memorial Tour of the historic 1916 Moline Orpheum Theater.
Join us as we remember the generations of performers, moviegoers, and community members who once filled this beloved theater with life. This guided tour will explore the history of the Orpheum, its architecture, and the many stories that have shaped its place in Moline’s past.
During the tour you will have the opportunity to see historic areas of the theater, learn about its early years during the golden age of vaudeville and silent films, and hear about ongoing efforts to preserve this treasured landmark.
Location: Moline Orpheum Theater, 139 - 4th Ave Moline, IL
Date & Time: Sunday, March 22nd from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Admission: Free to attend. Freewill donations are appreciated and will support the preservation of the historic theater. Raffles will be available for a chance to win six nights in Puerto Plata, DR.
Light snacks will be provided.
