We are a diversified family farm serving the Silverton/Salem community. The rectangular 47 acres sits just an hour or so south of Portland off of highway 213.
After a very long search, in August 2012 we finally purchased a property with which to explore our agricultural ambition. There is a seasonal creek, a pond, an oak lined horizon, and about 35 acres of tillable land. In the next couple years we’ll be developing conservation contracts, replanting pasture, building fences, fixing infrastructure, creating infrastructure, establishing a market, and nurturing a few acres of vegetables, a small flock of sheep, chickens, and a newly arrived member of the human family. Over the course of a lifetime we hope to find the sweet spot of a fully diversified, direct-market family-farm – an idealistically hyphenated endeavor.

July is hard, but we’re crushing it. Beauty abounds. The sky turns dusty and hot. Irrigation rules the day. Harvest is heavy and never-ending. Fall production starts now, somehow. This team is a dream. They’re holding it all, and me, together.

June is everything all at once, and we’re here for it.
I hope it rains buckets tomorrow, and I hope we see record-breaking market attendance, and I hope that the Silverton Pride Festival gets all the love it can hold. June rain is worth celebrating, together. We’ll see you in town.

Big skies, big days, big harvests, big crews, big breaths. Must be June. Mock Orange is showing off under painted clouds. Everything is glowing. Heat is coming. We’re slaying weeds. If you want to eat like a busy farmer in the summer, come to market and get yourself some lettuce mix. Salad all day. Throw some snap peas and cabbage and carrots in there. Green garlic and parsley and dill blended with lemon and salt and olive oil to top it off. Boom. 💥 We’re here Silverton Farmers Market to make your salad dreams come true.

Who needs a hug? Great news - you can get hugs, AND carrots and maybe even these hugging carrots, if you’re early and lucky. Come find some nutritious treasures tomorrow from 9-1pm. We’ll have SO. MUCH. FOOD. Rain or shine! We can’t press pause on the fields, and it’s go time!
