Went to Fesslers nursery today to make hanging baskets! Got dirt at bimart so all set to plant, likely Monday.

Got some more cleaned out and the kiddie pool out to set plants in. Lost a few over winter but still have a bunch!

Started cleaning out the patio planters. Closest one has last year's Martha Washington geraniums coming up again. Pulled lots of grass and stinky Bob. Lots more to do but a good start. Sad I have to start watering patio already. No rain in the forecast for forever.

I've simplified prices on our website for our sheep. Instead of breaking down recorded Katahdin percentages and un-papered breeding stock, now all Recorded and Un-papered lambs are the same price and called Commercial Katahdin.
Un-Papered Katahdins are those that had registered parents but fell slightly short of our rigorous demands for registration. They are now the same price as 50%, 75%, 87.5% Recorded Katahdins. If we sell a Recorded Katahdin we will still get those papers done and sent to the customer.
We've also lowered the prices of the 2 adult ewes for sale to Commercial prices based on age and lambing history.

Cottonwood seeds are blowing a month early! Lilac is a hugely studied indicator plant and it kicked off 2-3 weeks early as well. If we don't get more rain the rest of May and into June, it's looking like August will be horrible. With no snow pack in the mountains, fire season will start a good month early, pests weren't killed over winter and extra dry months are going to be bad for rivers and streams heating up and killing fish. Plus the trees drinking heavy as they got going so much earlier. August heat could kill them too, creating a bigger fire danger. Not a great year. I do hope we get snow this coming winter!
