February brings one of the most beautiful times of the year to California’s Central Valley – almond blossom season!
This photo was taken by one of our employees on the way to the office this morning, showcasing the blooms that make this time of year so special.
We are truly grateful to live and work surrounded by such stunning scenes like this.

RETURN THE SMOKE !!!
We were recently referred to a new client after they experienced a catastrophic failure with a Dynamic Brake Resistor. Our team jumped in quickly and rebuilt the upper half of the panel to get them back up and running with minimal downtime.
Huge shoutout to the Factory Technologies team for putting the smoke back where it belongs — inside the panel.

Another Panel Upgrade Completed by Factory Technologies!
Factory Technologies, Inc. just wrapped up a successful "Rip & Replace" job - and the results speak for themselves! Our team defines a "Rip & Replace" as a partial replacement where some, but not all components are upgraded. In this case, we left the enclosure and replaced the entire back panel!
This project was a true showcase of our engineering expertise and panel craftsmanship.
Panel Quality:
Our new control panel showcases FTI's top-tier craftmanship which we've become known for, and attention to detail, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.
Clean, reliable, and built to last!
Engineering Expertise:
We didn't just replace the back panel, our Engineering team:
- Reused the existing panel in a tight, restrictive space
- Worked without original drawings due to panel age
- Removed abandoned instrumentation for a cleaner setup
- Completed everything in a tight 2-day timeline
Saving time and cost while maintaining high standards!
Got an old panel that needs reworking?
No drawings? No Problem
Do you have an old-timer ready to retire, and it's keeping you up at night?
We've got you covered!

Factory Technologies acknowledged with an “Employer of the Year” Award!
It began with a chance meeting between a Factory Technologies manager and a valued clients young engineer – while commissioning a small project. The young engineer revealed that she was an intern from the University of the Pacific and was part of their engineering co-op program.
The FTI manager (who had also been through a co-op program many years earlier) was instantly intrigued and asked more about UOP’s program – which led to the creation of internship openings at FTI.
Who knew that this little conversation would lead (4 years later) to Factory Technologies receiving UOP’s “Cooperative Education Employer of the Year” award!
When presented with this award, the UOP representatives used the word “mentoring” as common feedback from their students (about FTI). We are particularly proud of this statement as we try to mentor our interns on “what controls engineering is”, the wide range of technical duties of a controls engineer and how to manage the transition from an academic environment to a hands-on engineering.
We are very grateful to receive to even be considered for this honor and look forward to many more years of supporting the future of our industry.
