Our third annual Top Gun competition!🙌🔥
Our officers held a shooting contest as part of their range training. Contestants were put to the test with drills that are scored by time completed and accuracy. This competition helps officers stay sharp and ready for real life situations.

Congratulations to our officers graduating from Juvenile Core Officer (JCO) Academy! 🤩
At the Stanislaus County Probation Department, our in-house academy is dedicated to ensuring that our officers are fully prepared for their roles in juvenile institutions. The JCO Core Academy is an essential, entry-level training program, as required by the Standards and Training for Corrections (STC) for those working as juvenile corrections officers in California. This comprehensive and demanding program provides participants with the necessary tools, knowledge, and expertise to effectively supervise, manage, and engage with juveniles in a correctional environment.
We extend our congratulations to the graduates for successfully completing this important STC-certified milestone!💙

Deputy Probation Officer Toledo is officially 10-8 (in-service) after completing the Field Training Program!
Newly sworn officers are paired with experienced Field Training Officers (FTOs). They shadow, learn policies and procedures, and are gradually tested on their ability to handle real-world situations such as probation searches, supervision contacts, courtroom duties, and community engagement.
Officers must demonstrate sound judgment, officer safety, communication, and knowledge of probation practices before being cleared for solo duty.
This training ensures every officer is fully prepared to balance accountability with opportunities for rehabilitation—helping keep our community safe.
