"When's the last time you were told by others, "Go away. We don't want you around. We don't ever wanna see you again"? Some of us maybe have experienced that and even if we haven't... we can imagine the emotion it would produce within us...
And while people will rarely say that to another person...there's a whole world of people who say it to Jesus every single day. A whole world of people who do not want their lives changed or distracted by Jesus. Not their business practices, not their quest for fame and for power and for riches, and certainly not to... in any way to be disrupted in the practice of their sin...They don't deny the excellence of Jesus' life, but they don't want their life to be disturbed by Him in any way.

And the heaviest thing in the whole passage related to that is that Jesus did depart at their pleading, and there's no record in the scriptures that He ever returned."
