This olive tree is suffering from a boring beetle infestation. We did a root inspection and determined that is was also planted too shallow. After root excavation we treated the tree for the beetle with a systemic pesticide and a fertilizer. We, then provided a soil amendment with humus and slow release fertilizer. We will prune off the deadwood and the remaining portions of the tree in the winter, when it is appropriate to do so.
We firmly believe that investing in the roots will pay dividends in the canopies of your trees.
