Fundamental Throwing and Throwing Mechanics Development Program

Class Start Date: Dec 1
Class End Date: Jan 17

That time of year again!! This class is for high school and junior high age groups to start a throwing program to be ahead of the competition for Spring 2026. Valley Baseball will host its most popular off season program, the fundemental throwing and throwing mechanics class (Velocity Program). Classes will be held at the Valley Baseball facility. Valley has had years of success at developing players. VTP’s (Velocity and Throwing Program) main objective is to get players ready for the upcoming Spring season. Valley has been the premier development program for over 25 years in the valley.

Class is 7 weeks with a minimum 20 session. First 3 weeks will be on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Have 1 week that we will work around holidays. Final 3 weeks we will add Saturday bullpens. Class times will be 7-9pm (classes can run over time). Bullpen days times will be assigned.

Age Group: Jr High and High School students.

There will be a separate class for younger age groups.

VTP is designed to have arm and body conditioned leading into spring season for High School and Jr High players (7th to 12th graders).

Cost: $450 (under $23 a session)

Class will cover:
* Fundamental Throwing
* Hip Mobility
* Full Stretch Routine (body and arm)
* Medicine Ball work
* Over/ Under load throwing (Plyo balls)
* Speed and agility
* Explosive drills
* Core strength
* Conditioning
* Arm Care- Instruction/ knowledge
* Injury prevention
* Develop Routines (throwing/ pitching)

Infield class Dec 2025
Youth 8u to 12u

Infield class is to introduce the rhythms and baseball movement that will build a strong foundation for players future growth.

Drills, training and routines will be focused on body movement and understanding of use in game play. Young players will be doing athletic reps to train the body how to move. Infield baseball actions can be taught at a young age with focused reps and developing a players feel for good fundamentals.

Teaching areas
* fielding techniques
* Speed and agility
* Timing and rhythm of the game
* Catch play routines
* Daily infield drills

Like to talk and teach young players the skills and movements it will take to continue to grow into a good infielder. Building a strong foundation of knowledge and drills to keep them sharp in season.
Hitting Class Dec 2025
High school

Purpose of the class is to get high school hitters prepared for up coming season, mentally and physically.

Want to train hitter to prepare for the upcoming season vs the best pitchers in the area.

Teaching areas:
* fundemental hitting technique
* Individuals best swing
* How to add power
* How to stay balance
* have adjustability
* How to hit to all fields
* Approach
* Bat control (execute small ball)

Players will learn about individual swings strengths and weaknesses. Learn to train and grow in weak areas so they can produce in games. Understand who they are as a hitter to have more success. Teach players to build an approach based on pitchers ability and pitch calls.

Advanced Catching Class Dec 2025
High school and Jr high

This is an advanced catching class for players wanting to compete at the highest level of varsity baseball. Class will run as instructional class as well as working with velocity class for detailed explanations and expectations of bullpens. We want to train our catchers to be assistant coaches on the field and leader of the defense. This is one of the toughest positions to play in sports and we want to give them all the tools to be successful.

Areas of focus:
* catchers stretch routine
* catch play routine/ arm action
* Stance/ set up
* Receiving
* Blocking
* Footwork
* Defense communication
* Communication w/ pitchers (in game and bullpens)

Looking to prepare players to play at a high level in high school. A player that coaches a players can look to in game for leadership and command.
