Hope's Chance Horse Sanctuary is this Saturday and we are still taking donations of tack and supplies.
Happy is available for adoption through Hope's Chance Horse Sanctuary, she has been in training with AJ Perry in Chinese Camp since February 1, 2022 and is doing really well. She does require a very quiet rider to continue on the good path she is on. In 2020 she spent several months with Steve Bauhr working on her ground work.
Happy is about 17 years old possibly a thoroughbred cross we believe. She came from Calaveras Animal Control in March of 2019.
If you would like more information on her you can message the page or call 209-480-3605 (please leave a message or text)

The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) is currently responding to a large scale Equine herpesvirus-1 (EHV-1) incident throughout California. One of the most effective ways to prevent EHV-1 from spreading is practicing good biosecurity.
More information on EHV-1 and biosecurity can be found on the CDFA website at https://www.cdfa.ca.gov/ahfss/animal_health/equine_herpes_virus.html as well as on the Equine Disease Communication Center website at https://www.equinediseasecc.org/biosecurity.
Pico started life here at Hope's Chance Horse Sanctuary and was adopted several years ago by Aimee Groen and has been doing working equitation. She asked me to help him learn how to jump as working equitation does include jumps. Today he jumped his first small oxer and continues to improve everyday, he has been great to teach as he is very smart and picking up the new things quickly!
