This holiday season, Sutter Memorial Trauma Services is proud to partner with Community Christmas Tree, a Modesto tradition for more than 40 years supporting local families.
As a Level II Trauma Center, caring for our community’s children means helping them stay safe while enjoying bikes, scooters and skateboards. With support from the Memorial admin team, Trauma Services donated 140 helmets to help prevent injuries and keep kids riding safely.
We're grateful for the opportunity to support families, promote safety, and strengthen our commitment of injury prevention for the community.

Rond De Leon's story is one of grit and heart. ♥️ As a first-generation college student, he saw nursing as his "shot" at the American dream. His path wasn't easy, but perseverance was his driving force, first as an athlete competing in marathons and triathlons, and now as a Sutter clinical stroke program coordinator. Today, Rond aligns his athletic passions with service to others, raising awareness for stroke and heart research by donating to the American Heart Association for every mile he rides. He draws from his athletic experiences to inspire not only his patients, but also his peers. His message is simple but powerful: “The finish line isn’t always the goal. Sometimes, it’s the journey itself—the training, the perseverance—that makes you stronger.”
