I'm listening to Strangers, the memoir by Belle Burden, and *finally* reading Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz Ryan. I think I've had this on my bookshelf for at least a decade!

Audiobook paint night for kids (and their adults, too!) is one week from tonight! Looking for something fun to do with the family? We're listening to Opal Watson: Private Eye by Brittany J. Thurman about an eleven-year-old detective investigating a mystery in her apartment building. 🔍

Audiobooks are a great way for readers to get into a story. We can give you a code to keep listening on Libro.fm, and we'll have physical copies of the book available, too!

Your $15 ticket includes all paint and supplies. No actual painting experience is necessary. :)

WALDO is back in Modesto, beginning July 1!
Looking for something fun to do this summer for kids 14 and under? Visit local businesses to find the hidden Waldo and collect stamps in your passport! You've got all month to participate, and we're planning a big end-of-hunt party at the State Theatre on July 31. More info to come!

Weds, 6/17:We’re open 10 to 6! Storytime for the kiddos is at 11am. Today’s Crafternoon session is “Crochet with Carly” from 3:30-5pm! Chess Club for all ages/ability levels meets from 5 to 7pm.

Thurs, 6/18: We’re open 10 to 6! Studio @ Bookish is from 3-5 (see our website for tickets – or walk-ins are welcome!)

Fri, 6/19: We’re open 10 to 6! Our special Yoga for Booklovers with Hannah starts at 9am. Storytime for the kiddos is at 11 am! Our summertime happy hour starts today at 6pm, and Old Man Trouble’s album release party starts at 7!

Sat, 6/20: We’re open 10 to 6! It’s used book sale day – 15% of our used book proceeds will go to CalPride. Stop by for some great deals!
