Cali Fabrics
Designer fabrics to Your doorstep! Family owned and operated since 1992.
A rare little midweek drop 👀
We don’t usually add new fabrics in the middle of the week, but these FIGO prints from Northcott were too cute to wait.
This batch is full of cheerful cotton wovens: florals, ginghams, stripes, ladybugs, fruit prints, sweet coordinates, and a few really useful blender-style basics. FIGO is Northcott’s more modern, playful fabric line, so you get fresh, happy prints on lovely cotton wovens from a company that’s been around since 1935.
Perfect for quilts, kids’ clothes, aprons, bags, pouches, summer tops, and all the little sewing projects that need something bright and fun.
They’re up now in Newest Fabrics:

This week’s fabric drop is full of easy, wearable warm-weather fabrics and colorful everyday staples.
We added soft cotton gauzes, breezy voiles, crisp lawns, stretch poplins, lightweight twills, and a big run of heavyweight rayon/spandex jerseys in really good solid colors.
Think summer dresses, relaxed tops, button-ups, skirts, comfy knit pieces, and the kind of handmade basics you’ll actually reach for again and again.
Ron walks through the whole batch and talks about hand feel, drape, and what each fabric wants to become.

This drop is a little bit all over the place... in the best possible way.
Indonesian batiks. Designer bull denims. Beautiful cupro linings. Drapey rayon florals. Japanese-inspired brocades and jacquards. And a surprisingly strong group of silks that we couldn't stop pulling off the shelf.
There are fabrics here for everyday garments, statement pieces, special occasion sewing, and everything in between.
Ron walks through the whole drop and there are some really fun finds in this one.
As always, yardage is limited and once it's gone, it's gone.
The problem with these new prints? Choosing just one. 😅
We've added nearly 40 new quilting cottons from Dear Stella and Timeless Treasures, and this batch is packed with playful prints, beautiful florals, modern designs, and plenty of fabric you'll find yourself coming back to.
Perfect for quilts, dresses, skirts, pajamas, bags, kids clothing, and just about any project that needs a little extra personality.

This drop is FUN.
Japanese micro wale corduroys from Hokkoh, beautiful drapey rayons, Italian shirtings, cotton poplins, soft linens, heavyweight denim… this one is all over the map in the best possible way.
The Hokkoh corduroys are probably the stars though. Soft, lightweight, and covered in prints that make you immediately start planning projects.
Ron walks through the whole drop and there are a lot of gems in this one.

This drop is stacked.
A huge mix of designer deadstock linens, including stripes, textures, prints, and some really beautiful Marabella stretch linen blends that drape so nicely. There’s a lot here for dresses, trousers, skirts, relaxed sets, and easy everyday pieces.
We also added a full lineup of heavy cotton sweatshirt fleece and it is GOOD. Soft brushed interiors, substantial weight, and some really great colors for hoodies, sweatshirts, joggers, and lounge sets.
Plus a bunch of other gems mixed in throughout the drop.
POV: you were just gonna “look around” and now you somehow need 7 colors of the same fabric. 🙃
New designer rayon/spandex jerseys just landed in TWENTY FIVE colors and they are absurdly soft. Like “cancel your plans and sew loungewear all weekend” soft.
Stretchy, drapey, smooth, comfy… basically everything you want in an everyday knit.
Someone please stop us from keeping all of it. 😭
This one has range.
A really solid mix this week. Coating wool tweeds, bull denim, structured twills, Italian chambrays, brushed cottons, linen blends, and some beautiful eyelets and gauzes mixed in. There’s a lot here for both cooler weather pieces and lighter, everyday sewing.
Plenty of options for jackets, trousers, shirts, dresses, and pieces with a bit more structure, plus some softer fabrics if you’re leaning that direction.
Ron walks through the whole drop and there are some really good ones in here.
