Doc Mac
Hormone, Weight, Health, and Mind Optimizer We are on a mission to educate women who say "I just do not feel right.
I know there is something wrong, but my doctors can't seem to find out why." We have discovered that its a combination of Biochemistry (hormones), Diet (manmade food) and Toxicity (chemical sensitivities). We treat this by naturally balancing your hormones, diet and detoxifying your cells, organs and body.

Most women think weight gain after menopause is caused by getting older.
Vicky and I don't.
We think it's caused by our understanding of what changed being too limited.
The good news?
What changed can often be improved.
Today's article explains one of the most important hormones you've probably never heard much about—a hormone that helps determine whether you feel full after a meal or find yourself going back for seconds.
If you've ever wondered why some women seem to eat less without struggling, this article is for you.
Read it here, and if you enjoy it, subscribe.
Every week, Vicky and I share what we've learned from helping thousands of women navigate life after menopause.
Your Third Act should be your best act.

Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy 70th birthday yesterday.
Normally, I would thank each of you individually, but my Facebook app has apparently low T and refuses to function on my phone. Neither Facebook nor AI has been able to revive it yet.
I also want to thank the friends who showed up to celebrate with me at Whiskey Jacks, and a special thank you to Tony for hosting us. It meant a lot to spend the afternoon laughing, telling stories, and being reminded how fortunate I am to have such great people in my life.
And then there’s Vicky.
At many of our gatherings, she’s often the only woman in a room full of guys and somehow still manages to be “one of the guys” better than most of us. I’m beyond lucky she’s my wife, best friend, travel partner, and teammate in this crazy adventure called life.
The celebration continued back at our house with more friends stopping by, and then our beautiful daughter topped the day off by bringing us Thai food for dinner. Not a bad way to turn 70.
Yesterday reminded me of something important:
A rich life has very little to do with things and everything to do with people.
I truly believe my 70s will be the healthiest, happiest, most disciplined, and most rewarding decade of my life.
I still have unfinished work to do.
Still people to help.
Still grandchildren to watch grow.
Still adventures ahead.
And I’m grateful all of you are part of the journey.
P.S. Check out my jacket. It's 45 years old, and "Old Friends" was our team's name when we were in our 20s. Now we are really OLD friends. We all remember those incredible times playing Flag football and softball around the state, and sometimes even in other states. The jacket still fits well.

How To Burn Fat In Menopause Bottom out one hormone, top out another...

Menopause doesn’t just change a woman’s hormones.
It often changes how she sees herself.
Some women slowly begin defining themselves by:
the weight gain,
the exhaustion,
the brain fog,
the clothes that no longer fit,
and the reflection they no longer recognize.
And once identity changes…
Everything changes.
Because the woman who says:
“I’m old now.”
moves differently than the woman who says:
“This is my third act, and I’m just getting started.”
Years ago, I had a client tell me:
“Doc, I don’t even feel like the main character in my own life anymore.”
That sentence stayed with me.
Because menopause is not supposed to be the ending of the story.
It can become the beginning of the wisest, healthiest, strongest, most disciplined version of yourself.
But only if you stop defining yourself by your symptoms.
In this week’s article, I write about menopause and identity:
how the way you define yourself quietly shapes your hormones, discipline, weight, habits, and ultimately your future.
If you are a woman who feels like she has somehow disappeared inside her own body…
This article was written for you.

🚨 I recorded this video in one take. No script. No editor. No AI.
Just me, Doc Mac, talking directly to you about something that nobody explained to me in school — and something your doctor has probably never mentioned either.
If you're a woman in midlife struggling with what diet to use now, I want to tell you that it's not...
About willpower.
About eating less.
Not even about pre- or post-menopause.
It's about another hormone you don't even think about — insulin.
I made this video the way I talk to my own wife.
No filter. No teleprompter. A few stumbles.
Because you deserve real — not rehearsed or artificial.
Watch it. Then click the link below and read the full article.
Because once you understand what's actually happening inside your body with insulin, you'll find the key to optimizing weight during this time of your life.

You are nothing more than a reflection of your hormones.
Energy.
Mood.
Sleep.
Belly fat.
Motivation.
Libido.
Discipline.
Many women spend years blaming themselves for changes that began with a hormonal imbalance.
Especially insulin.
Because when insulin begins staying elevated too often and for too long, the body slowly shifts from burning fuel… to storing it.
This is why so many women tell me:
“I’m eating less than ever and still gaining weight.”
After 46 years of helping thousands of patients optimize hormones and weight, I have learned something important:
The body rarely betrays you.
It is usually trying to protect you.
The question is not whether hormones affect your life.
The question is:
What are you going to do today to improve them?
I wrote more about menopause and insulin in today’s article below.
It is free to read.
