Sometimes the hardest thing to do is trust God when life doesn’t make sense. In recovery, we often face closed doors, unanswered prayers, setbacks, and disappointments. But what if those moments aren’t punishments? What if they are God’s protection?
There have been many times when I looked back and realized that what I thought was a setback was actually God keeping me from something that wasn’t meant for me. Recovery teaches us to surrender control and trust that God’s plan is greater than our understanding.
If you’re walking through disappointment today, don’t lose hope. God is still working behind the scenes. The door that closed may be protecting you from pain. The delay may be preparing you for something better. The struggle you’re facing today may become part of your testimony tomorrow.
Keep praying. Keep showing up. Keep trusting.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” – Proverbs 3:5
💜 Recovery is not about having all the answers. It’s about trusting the One who does.

‼️Reminder for open group TONIGHT‼️
As many of you know, Brad will be out of town on Monday, June 15th. We are blessed to have Amanda leading our Open Group that evening!
Amanda has planned a special activity, so she is asking everyone attending Open Group to please bring an old T-shirt with you. No need to buy anything new just find an old shirt you don’t mind using for the activity.
As always, our free meal will begin at 5:30 PM, and groups will break out at 6:00 PM at Rescue House Church.
We look forward to another evening of fellowship, encouragement, healing, and growing together in Christ. Whether you’re new to recovery or have been walking this journey for a while, there’s a place for you here.
We can’t wait to see everyone Monday night! ❤️🙏
Today’s recovery reminder…
No matter what happened yesterday, today is a new opportunity to take one more step forward. Healing doesn’t happen all at once it happens one choice, one prayer, and one day at a time.
Don’t give up because the journey feels hard. Every step you take toward healing, freedom, and God is a victory worth celebrating.
Keep showing up. Keep trusting God. Keep believing that your story isn’t over yet.
“With God all things are possible.”

Recovery isn’t a straight line. Some days feel like victory, while other days feel like you’re taking two steps backward. There are tears, setbacks, hard conversations, healing wounds, and moments when giving up seems easier than pressing forward.
But there is also hope.
There is growth in the struggle, strength in the surrender, and beauty in every step taken toward healing. Recovery is not about being perfect it’s about being willing to keep moving forward, one day at a time.
No matter what you’re recovering from addiction, grief, trauma, domestic violence, anxiety, loss, or life’s challenges please know that you are not alone. God is walking beside you, and there is a community here ready to support you.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3
At Freedom Recovery Ministries, we believe every person has a purpose, every story matters, and every step toward healing is worth celebrating.

A reminder for you today…..
Recovery is not about being perfect. It's about choosing, one day at a time, to keep moving forward.
Some days you may take giant steps. Other days you may only manage a tiny step. Both still move you in the right direction.
✨ "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." – Joshua 1:9
No matter what you're facing today addiction, grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence recovery, or simply the weight of life remember that God has not forgotten you. Your story is still being written, and your past does not determine your future.
Take a moment today to thank God for how far He has already brought you. The battles you've survived are proof that you are stronger than you think and that God is still working in your life.
💜 Keep showing up.💜 Keep praying.💜 Keep believing.💜 Keep taking the next step.
You are loved, you are valued, and there is always hope.
