MACH Robotics

Mobile Area Coalition of Homeschoolers "What opportunities?" you ask. These students have the opportunity to use their hidden talents to the fullest extent.

MACH (Mobile Area Coalition of Homeschoolers) is a Mobile area group of 6th - 12th grade homeschoolers who come together every fall to participate in the BEST robotics competition. These students have chosen to participate in this organization to take advantage of all of the opportunities that it provides. Well, let's start with the opportunity to be part of an amazing group of Homeschool students

with similar Christian values who work well together and have a terrific time doing it. Sometimes you don't know what you have the capability of doing until you have the opportunity to do it. They also have the opportunity to fine-tune their existing skills to prepare for the future. Lets not overlook the fact that MACH is a member of BEST Robotics which is a national organization that promotes Engineering, Math, Science and Technology. For those students who are thinking about pursuing a career in any of those fields MACH will help give them a head start as many universities are sponsors of BEST Robotics and some actually offer scholarships for participating in this competition. If your student has any interest in, or experience with CAD, programming, VEX or any other robotics they would love this organization. In addition to the Robotics, MACH also gives students the opportunity to be challenged and creative, use critical thinking and problem solving skills, learn teamwork and leadership, make great friends and be excellent sportsmen. Do you have a shy student? Are you unsure of what they are interested in? Get them involved with MACH and they will thrive and find interests they never knew they had. Do you have an outgoing, energetic student who knows exactly what they are interested in? They are a great fit for MACH also. They will have the opportunity to be a leader and find out that they are interested in many more things than they thought. What are your student's interests? Do they like to write, act, create artwork or videos, photograph, do woodworking or build things, work with computers, perform public speaking or do scrapbooking? If the answer is yes to any of these areas, then MACH is the place for them.

Months of hard work paid off this weekend! Our robot team and drivers fought hard and demonstrated positivity and innovation in the pit to keep our robot competitive! We are so proud of each and every student on this team!

Day one of South’s BEST Championships included marketing and exhibit presentations and our robot compliance and practice! Ready to cheer on our robot drivers tomorrow!

We also enjoyed a team meal at Rosie’s Mexican Cantina. They were super accommodating to a party of 50! Check them out if you’re ever in Huntsville!
