The Mobile County Commission is launching its America 250 celebration with a Youth Civic Reflection Contest, inviting Mobile County students to answer the question: “250 Years Later, What Does Freedom Mean to You Today?”

The contest is open to Mobile County students enrolled in grades K-12. Students may submit a photo or short reel with a 250-word caption or an original piece of artwork. Entries should be sent to [email protected].

Entries will be accepted June 1-22, with winners notified June 25 and invited to present their submissions at Government Plaza. The contest is the first of several events planned by the Mobile County Commission as part of the nationwide America 250 commemoration in 2026.

We had a great season and end of season party! Thanks to all the parents for your support! Your kids are amazing!

Our new robotics season starts May 1st. Help our team make it back to State (we came in 8th last year) and to Nationals in Iowa in March. Any amount is appreciated. If you have any businesses willing to help, please forward them with our thanks.
