Congratulations to Davidson High School, which was recently recognized by Alabama Possible for having the highest participation in the state among large high schools in the Alabama Direct Admission Initiative. Davidson's Class of 2026 earned 4,233 scholarship offers worth $120.8 million, part of a record $1.2 billion earned overall by the MCPSS Class of 2026.

Erin Hammond, a rising sophomore at Davidson High School, was crowned 2026 Junior Miss Juneteenth America®—an incredible honor!
Cayleigh Humphrey, a rising junior, earned the title of 2026 Teen Miss Juneteenth America® First Runner-Up, and Miley Jones, a rising freshman, was named 2026 Junior Miss Juneteenth America® First Runner-Up.

What are you up to, Warriors?
Dylan LeGros (‘27) is putting his talents and leadership into action as he works to fund his Eagle Scout Project—restoring and renovating the Davidson High School Marching Band trailer just in time for marching band season!
To make it happen, Dylan is hosting a fundraising concert at Callaghan’s on Saturday, June 27, featuring local bands Phil & Foster, The Jollies, and The Backbones—all made up of current DHS students and alumni.
Come out, support a great cause, and enjoy a night of live music while helping make a lasting impact on our band program! 🖤💛

What are you up to, Warriors? 💛🖤
Sophia Edmondson, Class of 2029, is making the most of her summer! From traveling to Oxford, MS with her travel softball team to gearing up for upcoming showcases in Panama City Beach and Montgomery, she’s staying busy on and off the field.
She’s also picked up a new sport—archery—and is excited for year two on the Warrior Flag Football team while trying out for archery and making memories along the way.

Ethan received the highest award of the night—a full four-year scholarship PLUS room and board. We are so proud of both of these outstanding Warriors and can’t wait to see all they accomplish next!
