That’s the standard we strive for at Kimberly Coleman State Farm.

What business are you loyal to because they genuinely care?

A fellow insurance agent recently shared a story that really stuck with me.

While waiting in line at an ATM, she noticed an elderly gentleman struggling with the machine. The man tried several times, stopping and starting over, clearly frustrated and embarrassed.

Finally, he turned around and quietly asked for help.

She stepped up and patiently walked him through the process, allowing him to handle everything himself while simply guiding him through the steps. When the transaction was complete, the relief and pride on his face were obvious.

Before leaving, the gentleman tried to hand her money as a thank you. She politely declined, but the gesture left a lasting impression.

The story reminded me that while technology continues to make life faster and more convenient for many of us, not everyone is moving at the same pace.

There is an entire generation that helped build the world we enjoy today. They worked hard, raised families, built businesses, served their communities, and adapted to countless changes throughout their lives. Yet many now find themselves navigating a world that seems increasingly automated, complicated, and impersonal.

Sometimes the most meaningful thing we can do isn’t solve a big problem, it’s simply take a few minutes to help someone who needs it.

Patience. Kindness. Respect.

Those things never go out of style.

It’s also a reminder of why we’ve always believed in keeping a local, personal insurance agency. When you call our office, you’re not getting a computer or a chatbot, you’re getting a real person. And if you’d rather sit down face-to-face, our doors are open. We’re here, we’re local, and we’re not going anywhere.

In a world that seems to move faster every day, let’s make sure we’re not moving too fast to notice the people around us. Because sometimes a few extra minutes of grace can mean more than we’ll ever know.
