On Sunday, the Catholic Church celebrated the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.

After Mass, our parish processed around the block in adoration of our Lord. Here’s what that looked like.

The Eucharist is either true or it is intolerable.

“My flesh is true food.” The language is direct. The reaction in the crowd is discomfort. Many walked away.

Belonging to a Eucharistic parish means standing where others left.

If this is truly His Body and Blood, then casual reception is contradiction. If this is truly communion with the living Christ, then preparation matters.

Examine your conscience. Fast properly. Arrive with attention. Teach your children reverence.

The Law of God protects the altar. Prayer prepares the heart. Worship expresses awe. Service extends the grace received.

When the Eucharist becomes routine, communities weaken. When it is approached with fear of the Lord and joy of gratitude, communities strengthen.

If we believe He is present, then let our posture reflect it.

Comfort erases dependence unless it is guarded.

Moses reminds Israel that God allowed them to hunger so they would learn reliance. Manna was not only food — it was formation. It taught them that life flows from God’s Word, not merely from provision.

Prosperity creates amnesia. When life stabilizes, gratitude weakens.

Belonging to a Eucharistic parish requires cultivated remembrance. The Bread from heaven is not sentimental symbolism. It is daily dependence.

If you forget that you are sustained by grace, you will begin to believe you are self-sufficient. And self-sufficiency erodes generosity.

Prayer keeps dependence visible. Worship renews gratitude. Almsgiving expresses trust that provision comes from God.

If the Eucharist feeds you, then let gratitude shape how you give, how you serve, how you prioritize Sunday.

Communities remain vibrant when they remember who feeds them.

This Sunday, June 7, Saint Pius X will celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi with a special morning of worship, public witness, and parish fellowship.

Please note:
There will NOT be an 8:00 AM or 10:30 AM Mass this Sunday.

Confessions will begin at 8:00 AM, followed by one parish Mass at 9:00 AM for the entire parish community.

Immediately after Mass, we will have a Eucharistic Procession with the Blessed Sacrament through our campus and neighborhood. The procession route will go out the back of the church, around the school building, down the back driveway, through the neighborhood, down Sage Avenue, and back into the main entrance of the church property, concluding with Benediction in front of the church.

Those unable to walk the route are warmly invited to remain inside the air conditioned vestibule, where chairs will be available while waiting for Benediction.

After Benediction, everyone is invited to stay for a parish picnic in front of the Sarto Center. The Knights of Columbus will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, chips, and soft drinks. Please bring lawn chairs and anything else you may want for a picnic style gathering. Feel free to bring outdoor games and activities as well.

In the event of rain, we will have an indoor Eucharistic Procession and the picnic will be moved into the gym.

Come spend the morning honoring Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament and celebrating together as a parish family.

Love does not cancel accountability.

“For God so loved the world…” That sentence is quoted constantly. But the rest is often ignored.

Whoever believes is saved. Whoever refuses stands condemned.

Love is offered universally. It is not forced universally.

Belonging to Christ is not automatic by admiration. It is covenantal by response.

Belief is not vague positivity. It is obedience expressed in action. It is prayer practiced consistently. It is worship embraced intentionally. It is moral clarity lived publicly.

If we reduce love to affirmation without transformation, we weaken the Gospel.

A parish matures when its members understand that grace is free but not cheap. Rites received demand responsibilities owed. Baptism commissions. Eucharist nourishes for mission. Confession restores for growth.

Standing in the light requires choosing it daily.

Love invites. It does not eliminate response.
