As children learn new skills, they need the confidence to master them.
β€’ MODEL confident behavior! Kids are always looking to adults for how to properly act
β€’ ENCOURAGE trying new things! Introduce them to hobbies they are unfamiliar with
β€’ EMBRACE trial and error
β€’ PRAISE their determination when they don’t give up

Expressing emotions can sometimes be difficult for children. Encouraging them to talk about both the good and the bad can help them learn to better express their emotions and lead to improvements in emotion regulation. Try having this conversation with your kiddo at the end of the day! If your kid is having difficulty at first, use an emotion wheel to build up to complex emotions.

sometimes we have to have some tough conversations with the people we love. often, those battling with mental health issues do not want to talk about their struggles. Acknowledge their feelings and be a listener to show the best support you can during these conversations.

We all love the sunshine, and more sun means more time outdoors. While the spring sun is great, it is important to remember you still need the same amount of sleep as you did in the winter.

The lack of sun in the morning can make it harder to wake up, and the excess sun in the evening can make it harder to wind down. Keep these things in mind when planning your days as a lack of proper sleep can lead to adverse effects.

Coloring can serve as a form of mindfulness, which can ease anxiety and help kids practice living fully in the present moment. Coloring can also help kids develop motor skills, creativity, and concentration. You can foster your child's interests by letting them pick their own coloring books. Kids might also enjoy:
-listening to music or an audiobook while coloring
-experimenting with scented crayons, glitter pens, or markers
-making their own crayons out of broken or old pieces
You can color with your children to bond with them too!
