These canine heroes took over the Exploreum for Dog Days of Summer, showing off some seriously impressive skills and superpowers! We had so much fun spending the day with everyone. From meeting some adorable adoptable pups to checking out our local vendors and enjoying plenty of science-filled fun, there was something happening around every corner.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it a doggone spectacular day! 💙

We’re long overdue for another very important staff recognition…
Everyone give it up for our Employee of the Month: Chong, our Cuban tree frog! 🐸✨

As our Director of Recreation, Chong leads by example, reminding staff and guests of the importance of a good soak, a little climbing, and finding the perfect place to relax.

Cuban tree frogs are excellent climbers thanks to the large adhesive pads on their toes, allowing them to easily make their way through trees and other elevated spaces. Chong certainly puts his climbing abilities to good use, often spending his time perched among the branches of his habitat or even scaling the glass walls! When he’s not climbing, his specialties include water bowl quality control and finding creative places to relax.

He’s generously compensated with plenty of bugs, unlimited pool access, and all the climbing opportunities he could ask for.

Let’s hear it for Chong and his outstanding service! 👏💙
