Hey folks! I’m going to join my long time friend Kim Carson this coming Sunday night at The People's Room of Mobile. Kim and I go WAY back to the mid 90’s when we were young chicks playing and touring with a bunch of dudes in rock and roll bands. We met in Jackson, MS at Hal & Mal’s and bonded over all things female in a man’s world.
Kim, like myself, is still going at it strong. She continues writing country songs and playing all over the world. It will be fun to get back together with her and perform her songs with her. Hope to see you there.
AND…we will be celebrating our BFF, Tina Collin’s birthday!!! 🎂

Had my very first cello lesson today and enjoyed the heck out of it. Thank you for your patience and great instruction in your beautiful, colorful home. I’m so happy! ❤️

The Rare Birds got together for a rare dinner at Rick’s house a few weeks ago. It was a lovely evening being together without the pressures of performing a concert. I love these guys so much. We spent time on Dog River, took turns on the piano, visited and had a delicious meal. It’s these moments I live for, communing with people I love and sharing a meal. We’ve now been a band for 13 years. It’s really hard to believe. Four like-minded humans sharing music is a rarity. When we chose that name for the band, there was reason and it stuck! Here we are now, 13 years later. Thanks, Rick, for getting us together in your lovely home. ❤️

I got to meet this brilliant kind human when I was touring with Matthew Ryan in 2008 and we were sharing the bill with Jon. Our paths crossed again in 2018, 10 years later in Mobile at He never missed a beat. Always authentic, always honest & pure in his art, music and soul. You made a huge mark Jon Dee Graham. R.I.P. sweet friend. 💔

Spring and summer are filling up with music and I’m grateful to be playing in some beautiful places with wonderful friends.

Heartbroken to hear about the passing of John Hammond Jr.

Ten years ago, I had the honor of sharing a bill with him at the Historic State Theatre in Elizabethtown, KY. He was a humble and kind man, carrying quiet depth.

I’ll always be grateful for that beautiful night and the chance to stand on the same stage as a true legend.
