Storm chase mode has been activated with three days in a row of severe weather and #tornado potential, especially Monday PM across southeastern South Dakota! #stormcnasing #weather

We are monitoring eastern Dakotas into western Minnesota Monday evening for TORNADO POTENTIAL ahead of a potent summertime trough. If favorable instability can develop behind any nocturnal complexes of storms, then a supercell tornado threat will likely be realized. Low-level wind shear ahead of large open waves like this is usually quite substantial. I will be going live shortly to discuss!

Please refer to the pinned post for more updates as a long-lived, intense MCS/derecho moves through this afternoon and into the overnight hours. Significant damaging wind gusts of 80-100 MPH, tennis ball size hail, and a few tornadoes are likely. They will explode in central SD midday and move southeast.

Not all clouds turn into storms and drop a lot of hail, some just make you smirk and brighten your day a bit. We didn’t get it all finished today but check out the transformation of this house! Complete reroof on house and garage and we removed both chimneys for a cleaner look. The guys sure kicked butt today and I am so proud of them. For a house most of the town knows and drives by everyday I’m glad this homeowner aloud us to do her project. 1/2 the garage left and this one will be completed.
