We recently picked up this Sportsman 78—essentially an economy version of the legendary Re*****on 700. The action is solid, the foundation is there, and now it’s ready for a complete transformation into a modern precision rifle.

The big question is… what should it become?

Zach just finished applying a Desert Tan Cerakote finish to this G***k frame for another customer. The rugged tan color gives it a clean, functional look that’s right at home on the range or in the field.

The 6mm Dasher project is nearing the finish line! 🔥

The rifle is assembled, ammunition is loaded, and a new compensator is ready to be installed. This weekend we'll be heading to the range for initial test firing and load development.

There's always a lot of work behind the scenes before a custom rifle sends its first round downrange, and we're excited to see how this one performs. The Peterson brass is loaded and ready, the final details are coming together, and now it's almost time to let the rifle do the talking.

Roger Gorss just connected with steel at an incredible 1,201 yards using the VelociArms 25 Creedmoor!

What started at 590 yards quickly turned into a day of pushing limits, and the rifle delivered. At over 1,200 yards, every variable matters—ammunition, optics, environmental conditions, and most importantly, the shooter behind the trigger.

Congratulations to Roger on an outstanding shot and a memorable day on the range. We can’t wait to see how much farther this rifle can reach.

Roger Gorss has the VelociArms 25 Creedmoor out at the range today, stretching its legs at 590 yards on an 8-inch gong. Precision, consistency, and confidence downrange—exactly what this rifle was built for.

50 rounds of 6mm Dasher ammunition are loaded and ready to go. The brass is prepped, primed, charged, and topped with bullets—now it’s time for the fun part: test firing the rifle and seeing what kind of accuracy this build can deliver.

Stay tuned as we head to the range and start gathering velocity and accuracy data. We can’t wait to see what this rifle is capable of!
