We teach kids to love to write. Working in collaboration with classroom teachers, MWC writers design lesson plans that support classroom learning goals.

We love all the imagining and questioning that Eleanor does in this poem. From her vantage point on the highway, she contemplates the clouds, the trees, the black bears, the bitterroots, the flies, and the spiders--all the inhabitants of the mountain she is observing. And she poses the question, "what is it that makes something beautiful or valuble?"

We are sooo close to reaching our Missoula Gives goal! Your donation to MWC will go directly toward paying our talented writers in residence to teach and travel to more than 20 towns.
