Prehab is Non-Negotiable!

If you’ve torn your ACL you need to be doing prehab before your surgery.
🦵🏻
Your goal is to get back as close to normal as you can prior to surgery.
🦵🏻
You want to eliminate swelling, regain range of motion and strength, and get back to walking and moving without compensations.
🦵🏻
This may seem counterintuitive since surgery will cause swelling, decreased range of motion, decreased strength, and pain.
🦵🏻
If you don’t work on those decreasing those symptoms from the injury beforehand then the effects from surgery will compound with them and you will have an even higher mountain to climb during rehab.

This isn’t just the case for ACL Reconstruction surgery either.
🦵🏻
