A parting gift and fond farewell to our news boss! Alice Jacobs took a chance on me 10 years ago, bringing me to Miami and elevating my 📺 career. I am forever grateful. Cheers to retirement after 37 years!

Turned 40 today… reflecting on some things to share…

Kindness is never wasted.
Even if no one sees it, it still matters. Be gentle with the world.

You don’t need all the answers.
Take small steps. Growth comes one choice at a time.

Say “I love you.” Take the photo.
Life moves fast. The little things become everything.

“The Bloody Buckets”

While in France a few weeks ago, we had the honor of visiting the grave of my great-granduncle Stephen Roetz.

Killed in action in World War 1 in 1918 and remembered this Memorial Day. He was a member of the 28th Infantry Division known as “The Bloody Buckets”.

We were fortunate enough to rub sand from Omaha Beach on his tombstone and honor him with the Star Spangled Banner.

His mother, Mary, visited his gravesite 95 years ago on a pilgrimage to France for War Mothers and Widows.

Thank you to the Oise-Aisne American Cemetery for a beautiful ceremony- and especially Charles Diaz for opening back up for us after closing. And the biggest thank you to my wonderful Mother-In-Law Diane for all of the research she put into this. It was a very special moment for all of us. 🇺🇸
