Let's bust a myth: Going to bed with wet hair won't save you from heat damage, it could actually make it worse!

While it may seem like a harmless quick fix, it turns out that this habit might be doing more harm than good to your hair!

When hair is wet, it's in its most vulnerable state and sleeping on it can cause it to break and become more prone to damage. On the other hand, using a heat protectant and blow drying your hair properly can actually help reduce damage and breakage.

Not to mention, the moisture can create the perfect environment for bacteria to thrive, leading to scalp irritation and other issues.

So, what's the solution? Use a heat protectant and blow dry your hair before bed!

This will not only prevent damage but also ensure that your hair is dry and less likely to tangle or harbor bacteria. And if you're worried about heat damage, remember to use a low to medium heat setting and hold the dryer at least six inches away from your hair.
