REMINDER: Tubman's administrative offices in Minneapolis and Maplewood, including the NorthStar Youth Outreach Center and virtual services, will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

We're back in the Tubman archives, this time looking at our Board of Directors! Four organization mergers over 50 years means we've had hundreds of people commit their time to Tubman's mission as part of our board. And for that, we want to honor and celebrate not only our board members, past and present, but also the people who started our predecessor organizations with a Founders & Board Reunion!

Much like the staff reunion we held back in February, the Founder & Board reunion will be an opportunity for our founders and past board members from all our predecessor orgs to come together, reminisce, and reconnect with Tubman.

If you were a founder or on the board of any of Tubman's predecessors (Harriet Tubman Women's Shelter; Harriet Tubman Center; Chrysalis, A Center for Women; Family Violence Network; Tubman Family Alliance; Elder Care Rights Alliance; or Tubman), please ensure we have your current contact information by emailing [email protected]. Give Out Day is the largest and only LGBTQ+ giving event in the U.S., and your gifts can ensure that programs for q***r people and by q***r people continue for folks who need it. When you give on June 4 and throughout Pride Month, you'll be supporting Tubman's Q***r DBT group, an open, affirming, and safe space for q***r folks to access mental health services. Everyone should be able to receive the resources and support they need, and Tubman's Q***r DBT group is one way we say "We see you."

Summer's here and we're grilling up a lil' something special for our annual Summer of Peace youth supply drive!

Join us from 3-6 p.m. on Thursday, June 11 for Drive-Up, Drop-Off, where you can drive up to either Tubman's Minneapolis or Maplewood location and drop off donations, all without leaving your car! Summer of Peace is our way of keeping kids and teens engaged throughout the summer, and what a great way to do so than with much-needed supplies.
