Did you know that your iPhone can be scanned by attackers even before they try to hack it?
Turns out, a fancy iOS exploit kit called Coruna, which was revealed by Google Threat Intelligence, starts by checking out your device model, OS version, and security settings. If it sees that you have Lockdown Mode or are browsing privately, it just backs off.
Check out our latest blog post where our Jamf Threat Labs team dives into what this early reconnaissance means for modern mobile threats: https://okt.to/qJVOpP
Why Fingerprinting Is the First Move in Mobile Attacks Before any exploit fires, mobile attack kits profile the device to decide if it's worth the risk. Learn how fingerprinting works and what it tells defenders.

Black Hat USA 2026 still has our team buzzing!
At our booth, we enjoyed talking AI governance, Mac malware, mobile threat hunting and spyware with security leaders and longtime Apple admins.
Jamf was also honored to be part of the Network Operations Center's collaborative effort, helping keep the conference network secure. Attendees could even step into the NOC Outpost for an exciting first-hand look at how it all comes together.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth and the NOC Outpost!

A new hire's first login should feel like starting work. For too many Apple users in PC-dominant enterprises, it feels like a support ticket.
Our guide breaks down how to close that gap: smooth onboarding, automated updates and self-service app catalogs, built on integrated device management, identity and security instead of manual setup that slows everyone down and keeps IT tied up.
The difference shows up immediately: employees ready to work from day one instead of week two, and IT freed up for work that actually needs a person.

Good device management is invisible. Bad device management ruins someone's first week.
Our infographic, How Device Management Shapes Digital Employee Experience, addresses that gap now. It lays out the real data on onboarding, retention, security and ROI for teams running lean without extra headcount to spare.

Our Jamf Threat Labs team spent time inside Samsung's kernel hardening stack this month, and it's fascinating research.
Samsung ships four separate protection layers (RKP, KDP, DEFEX and JOPP/ROPP) specifically to block privilege escalation. Turns out a GPU DMA exploit chain can slip past every one of them because the GPU writes to physical memory without ever touching the CPU checks those layers rely on.
If you like a good technical deep dive into how attackers actually think, this is for you → https://okt.to/BKVdDl
Samsung Kernel Protections Bypassed via GPU DMA Jamf Threat Labs breaks down how a Qualcomm GPU driver flaw (CVE-2025-21479) sidesteps Samsung's kernel defenses to gain root.
"Mac doesn't fit our environment" usually means the tooling hasn't caught up, not that Apple actually doesn't belong.
Our guide lays out how to close that gap with automated signal sharing, real compliance enforcement, faster incident response and unified access policies, all without adding headcount to make it work.

The EU AI Act's high-risk deadlines just moved, but that doesn't mean the pressure is off. Stand-alone high-risk systems now have until December 2, 2027 to comply. Meanwhile, Article 50's transparency rules, covering chatbots, content generators and virtual agents, still land on August 2, 2026.
If your organization does business in the EU or touches EU citizen data, this affects you even if you don't think of yourself as an "AI company." Deployers inherit obligations too.
Our latest blog breaks down what changed, what didn't and three dated actions to take now.
