Thank you for hosting us and keeping everyone organized and safe. This was definitely a tough weekend for our community and I don’t know if I have the words to describe how scary and sad and helpless the world can make me feel right now. That being said, I’m constantly reminded that despite the darkness, we’re also surrounded by so much love and support and positivity. Thank you to everyone to came out to support local artists and makers—and those who were able to participate in the demonstrations this weekend 🩷

And special thank you to my helpers mom , sister , and husband — I’m so grateful to have such a wonderful support system.

Available online and this weekend at the . in Edina, Minnesota, was transformed from a former gravel pit into a vibrant mixed-use development beginning in 1988, thanks to a collaboration between United Properties and the City of Edina. This 100-acre area now features a blend of residential, retail, and office spaces centered around a beautifully designed park with a man-made lake, serving as a model for suburban mixed-use planning.

The Edina Theatre, an Art Deco landmark designed by Liebenberg and Kaplan, opened on August 31, 1934, featuring modern amenities like air-conditioning and a nursery, making it one of the largest suburban theaters in Minnesota at the time . After closing in 2020 due to the pandemic, the theater was acquired and renovated by Mann Theatres, reopening in September 2022 with modern upgrades and a new bar inspired by The Shining’s Gold Room.
