Prosody is a songwriting collaborative that pairs local composers and lyricists to create new, exciting musical theater and cabaret songs. Paul area.
Prosody is a songwriting collaborative of lyricists and composers based in the Minneapolis/St. Our goal is to create work that is contemporary and entertaining that speaks to a universal audience. As a group we collaborate with different writing partners, we seek input from the entire group, and ultimately look to the audience and viewers to evaluate and discover how the songs affects the listener
What an incredible night last night for Prosody -- the cabaret was lots of fun and we had a great crowd who made it through the snow to hear our new songs! We'll be posting the performances on YouTube in the near future. Thanks again everybody -- and thanks for your feedback!

Please join the amazing talents of the 19 composers and lyricists for the first public reading of the original musical cabaret, The Shoe Tree. It's an exciting leap from cabaret songs to the formation of a musical, and your feedback from this first workshop is always appreciated. See you there!
Quick update...now hold Dec. 12th for the reading of Shoe Tree. 24 composers and lyricists tell the story of why people throw shoes in a tree on the loneliest highway in America. You have to come to find out! Details to follow soon.
The songwriting teams are gearing up for an exciting new project, The Shoe Tree. Hold the date! December 5th will be a public reading of the workshop. More info to come.
