🏉 State Tournament Information 🏉

We are excited to host the Minnesota Youth Rugby State Tournament this weekend! Below are some important details for athletes, families, and fans attending.

🎟 Admission

* $5 per person
* Cashless entry only
* Tickets can be purchased in advance using the Zeffy link/QR code
* A QR code will also be available at the entrance on tournament day

🚪 Venue Access

* Gates open at **8:00 AM**

🚗 Parking

* Overflow and bus parking will be available at Albert Lea High School
* A safe walking path connects the high school parking lot to the tournament fields and stadium
* Please reference the tournament maps for parking and venue locations

🌮 Food & Vendors

* Food trucks will be on site serving breakfast and lunch items throughout the day
* Booshie Rugby will be on site with rugby apparel, gear, and merchandise

🎓 College Recruiting
Several colleges will be attending to recruit and connect with athletes, including:

* SMSU
* St. John's University
* College of St. Benedict
* Iowa Central Community College
* University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire
* University of Wisconsin-La Crosse

Additional colleges will more than likely be added!

🚻 Restrooms

* Permanent restroom facilities are marked on the tournament maps
* Additional portable restrooms will be available throughout the venue

🎥 Live Stream
Championship Stadium matches will be live streamed by Gopher Drones for those unable to attend in person.

Gopher Drones will be performing all of the video and streaming. The URL will be provided later this week for those out of state to watch their favorite rugby players.

📣 Attention Minnesota Rugby Families! LAST CHANCE!

Minnesota Youth Rugby Select Side tryouts are open to all currently registered high school rugby players — male and female — across the state.

📅 Dates: May 17 📍 Location: Eagan Community Center

The Select Side program is designed to identify and develop the top athletes from across the Union for advanced competition. Players will be evaluated on core skills, game awareness, physicality, and coachability through drills and live gameplay — and those selected will have the opportunity to represent Minnesota at upcoming events.

This is a wonderful opportunity for your athlete to challenge themselves, grow their game, and compete alongside the best in the state. We encourage all eligible players to come out and give it their all!

Dear MYR Community,

It is with deep sadness that we share this update. Due to a recent tragic loss within our extended youth rugby community, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Select Side tryouts scheduled for Sunday, May 10th.

Our priority right now is to honor those affected and to ensure space for care, support, and healing. Our thoughts are with the family, friends, teammates, and all who are impacted during this incredibly difficult time.

We will reschedule tryouts and plan to host an extended session on Sunday, May 17th. Additional details regarding time and location will be shared in the coming days.

We appreciate your understanding, patience, and continued support of our community. We look forward to coming together again on May 17th.
