This week’s featured abstract artwork from Kolman & Reeb Gallery’s current exhibit, “Summer Dreamscapes,” is “Terrarium” by Laura Hallen. Laura is the gallery’s guest artist for the summer. Through painting, mixed media, and installation, she abstracts and reinterprets the intricate patterns and structures found in the plant world. Laura’s current work explores the experience of growing and interacting with plants, their relevance in daily life, and the broader cultural and scientific histories that shape our understanding of them.

Special Guest this Saturday, June 13, at Kolman & Reeb Gallery.

Kristina Fjellman, fiber artist and 2026 Project Space grantee, needs your help!

Kristina will be in Kolman & Reeb Gallery this Saturday, June 13, 12-2 p.m., collecting fabric donations from the public, that’s you, for the wall sculptures she will be creating for her Project Space Grant show.

Please bring any type of fabric, 6 inches or larger, except canvas and denim, to the gallery that you would like to be recycled into art. People who contribute fabric will be acknowledged in the finished work’s didactics, emphasizing the collaborative nature of the project.

Here is what you will see tomorrow, Saturday, May 30, when you walk into Kolman & Reeb Gallery, 12-4 p.m., to see our summer group show, “Summer Dreamscapes.” The exhibit invites viewers into the fleeting magic of a Minnesota summer, where long days stretch into golden evenings, and the ordinary begins to feel luminous, almost unreal.

Kolman & Reeb Gallery will not be open this Saturday, May 23. Jodi and Anita are taking some time to relax and be with family and friends. The gallery will reopen next Saturday, May 30 at 12 p.m. We wish all of you a fun and relaxing Memorial Day weekend!

Art-A-Whirl® 2026 begins tonight, May 15 at 5 p.m. Kolman & Reeb Gallery will be open until 10 p.m.

Can’t come tonight, the gallery will be open tomorrow, Saturday, May 16, 12-8 p.m. and Sunday, May 17, 12-5 p.m.

You will find Kolman & Reeb in Studio 395 in the Northrup King Building in Northeast Minneapolis.
