Project Delta

This past Friday, my family laid to rest my husband’s brother Steve. Steve served his country honorably as a United States Marine Scout Sniper. He received full military honors as a result of a man who has become not only a friend, but a mentor for Project Delta. Stan Heuer went over and above the call of duty for Steve, but extended his kindness by honoring him as a Commander for the DAV. Project Delta will also honor Steve’s memory by utilizing the Carlton County DAV’s generous donation to support a veteran in need of a service dog.

Last night, Project Delta was honored to receive an incredible donation in support of our mission. The St. Augusta American Legion Riders are simply an amazing group. Their passion for serving the community is inspiring, and their generosity truly reflects the size of their hearts.

Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us make a difference. Your support means more than words can express!

I want to acknowledge the dedication to the many people involved with Project Delta. We have great handlers, great dogs, great trainers, great fosters, great rescues/shelters, great donors and so many behind the scenes helping run and sustain the mission! It’s been HOT, but training continues with a little water fun!

Yesterday I returned to Minnetonka Police Department to see our boy Sampson and work with Quincy. Both Ashley Brotten and Denise Hansen were present which fueled my soul watching a group session of training. Ashley’s boy Aygo joined to provide endless laughs and distraction work for our facility dogs. It was great to see and talk with the staff and again be reminded how Sampson has enriched their lives!

We are offering our followers a chance to contribute towards our newest candidate dog, Gunther! This boy got his start at Ruff Start Rescue and is now training his heart away with Rhonda Keniston! We are looking to raise $3,000 towards his training. Will you help support Gunther???
