Getting back into India Ink feels like visiting an old friend. I spent my undergrad thesis working almost solely with India ink, finding its unpredictable nature to be a fitting material to create imagery related to my experience with chronic pain and chronic illness.
I love to use ink as a language to express the spectrum and spaces between contraction and expansion, tension and softness, and control and surrender in relationship to the body.

I’ll have a new collection of small ink studies available for purchase online and in-person starting Saturday, March 14th. My studio will be open on 3/14 for ’s March Open Studio event if you would like to come see the works in person. Other artists will also be open that day - come explore our historic building and visit 6 floors of art studios from 11AM-4PM
